Saori Masuda

Mezzo-soprano

Saori Masuda was born in Japan in 1987. 
She has studied singing in Omiya- Koryo high school(Japan)from 2003 to 2006, Operas, songs and languages in Tokyo university of Arts from 2006 to 2011.

After graduated university, she has studied in Italy, Austria and Germany , Gunma Opera Academy "Nourajuku"(Japan) under Akiko Nakajima.

She sang Carmen by Bizet as understudy in Bunkyo-ku Opera,debuted as Gertrud from Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck at Biwako Hall, Sorceress from Dido and Aeneas by Purcell at Biwako Hall, Donna Elvira from Don Giovanni by Mozart at Biwako Hall,
and Gloria by A.Vivaldi, Symphonie No.9 by L.V.Beethoven, Messiah by G.F.Händel as soloist.

She got a prize of Student Music Concours in Japan,  and got 3rd prize of Tokyo international vocal competition in 2013, got a 2nd prize of The international Romanian music competition in Japan in 2016, and admitted to participate to the final of Hans Gabor Belvedere international singing competition in Amsterdam( Nederland ) ,and ARD Munich international music competition in Munich(Germany).
From April in 2017, she is a member of Biwako Hall vocal ensemble of Biwako Hall Center for the performing Arts, Shiga.
She has studied singing under Junko Tominaga, Michiko Aoki, Monica benvenuti, Yoko Hadama, Andrea Pfeffer, Regina Werner- Dietrich.
